Steven Schoenberg

Film Music

Steven Schoenberg is a dynamic, Emmy award-winning film composer. His recent scores include Graceland, an intense, dark thriller, which premiered at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. Variety writes that the music which has an "Eclectic, effective score by father-son team Steven and Adam Schoenberg is dominated by punchy electronic rhythms." HBO documentary Monica and David, which won Best Documentary Tribeca Film Festival, 2010; A Class Apart, for the PBS series American Experience and winner of the 2009 Imagen Award; An Act of Conscience, for Showtime; and Farmingville, which opened the 2005 PBS series POV and won the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, 2004. Steven has scored Emmy Award-winning films for such PBS series as NOVA and Smithsonian World. For children’s television, he has composed songs for Sesame Street and scored films for ZOOM and the Children’s Television Workshop. He is currently executive producer and composer for Kid Quest, which garnered two New England Emmy Awards in 2008. He has also scored films for The United Nations, The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, The National Wildlife Federation, and Digital Equipment Corporation.
